CLI - Bot Celly

Celly installs and runs through the bot-celly CLI on the host. It requires Node 24 and the host prerequisites in the Quickstart.

Commands

Command	What it does
`bot-celly`	Set up on first run (wizard), check the host, then start the bot.
`bot-celly run`	Start the bot (same as passing no command).
`bot-celly setup`	Re-run the setup wizard. Add `--run` to start after setup.
`bot-celly doctor`	Check prerequisites and configuration; never starts the bot.
`bot-celly --version` · `-v`	Print the version.
`bot-celly --help` · `-h`	Show usage.

Flags

Flag	Purpose
`--token <value>`	Discord bot token, for headless setup.
`--guilds <a,b,c>`	Comma-separated guild IDs, for headless setup.
`--home <dir>`	Config and data directory; same as `CELLY_HOME`.
`--run`	With `setup`, start the bot after setup.

Configuration and data

The wizard writes ~/.bot-celly/.env (Windows: %USERPROFILE%\.bot-celly\.env) with mode 600. DATA_DIR defaults to ~/.bot-celly/data; PROJECTS_ROOT still defaults to ~/Celly/projects. Set CELLY_HOME to move the directory, and CELLY_ASCII=1 to force ASCII output symbols even when color is on. See Configuration for every variable.

Exit codes

0 success, 1 an operational failure (missing prerequisite or config), 2 a usage error (unknown command or flag).
